When it comes to arranging an inspiring holiday floral piece, just what goes where? Greenery in the middle, sparsely around the edges?

Roebuck Greenhouses garden center manager John Burnett will demonstrate the art of holiday floral arranging at Piedmont Physic Garden’s (PPG) Holiday Floral Arranging workshop Nov. 7 at 6 pm.

The workshop is free to the public and will offer step-by-step creation of holiday arrangements by Burnett. A floral designer since 1981, he honed his craft at Roebuck Greenhouses where he maintains a variety of commercial hanging basket projects in six cities. 

His work also includes providing florals for offices, hospitals, funeral homes and other commercial spaces. Burnett is a Union native having lived on his third generation family farm in Cross Keys for 61 years.
